Hoang Thi Thuy wins Vietnam’s Next Top Model, season 2

VietNamNet Bridge – The contestant from Thanh Hoa province defeated Le Thi Thuy and Tra My in the final night in HCM City on the evening of January 8 to be the winner of the Vietnam’s Next Top Model 2011.

The final night took place from 8pm to 11pm at the Phan Dinh Hung Sports House in HCM City. Three top contestants, Hoang Thi Thuy, Le Thi Thuy and Nguyen Thi Tra My competed in two parts: catwalk performance and posing in front of cameras.

In the catwalk competition, three girls performed the latest collection by Do Manh Cuong. After three months joining the Vietnam’s Next Top Model, the three girls changed their look completely.

The performing style of Hoang Thi Thuy and Le Thi Thuy was said to be better than Tra My’s. However, Le Thi Thuy was rejected after the catwalk.

Hoang Thi Thuy and Tra My continued their competition in posing for the camera. The two contestants combined with dancers to become two girls in an opera entitled Burlesque and freely to pose, accompanied by the melody of “I’m a good girl” in Burlesque.

In this round, Hoang Thi Thuy was dominantly and she was the winner. The result was cheered by hundreds of viewers.

Thuy said that the Vietnam’s Next Top Model title is only the first step of her modeling career. She will try her best to win the local fashion circles and reach out to the world.

Thuy is a second-year student at the Hanoi Architecture University.
