Hoang Thuy won Best Catwalk Award, in top 15 of Model of the World

Eyedrd - 19-year-old Hoang Thuy, the winner of Vietnam’s Next Top Model season 2 won Best Catwalk Award and made it to the top 15 of Top Model of the World 2012 last Saturday, March 10th, in Germany.

The international model search owned by the World Beauty Organization which has been held since March 1 in Dortmund saw 47 contestants from around the world.

Luna Voce, a model from Italia won the contest, while Maria De Luz Da Silva from Venezuela and Melina Ramirez Serna earned the second and third place.

This is the first time Thuy joined an international modeling contest after winning Vietnam’s Next Top Model 2011 held last January in Ho Chi Minh.

Thuy, a sophomore architecture student from Thanh Hoa Northern Province, has an impressive height of 1.77m with a 76-58-85 body measurement and a strong facial bone structure highly valued by local fashion experts.

The young model said that after 7 days joining the competition’s activities, she had earned many valuable experiences for her modeling career.

Speaking of one challenge when she wore thin clothes and posed on the rooftop of a high building in 10 degrees Celsius weather, she said “I have never felt that cold before in my life. However everybody, including me tried our best to give the photographer the best shots,” adding that she knew this was typical of a professional model’s work therefore she would never complain or give up.

After the contest, Thuy will fly to Paris (France) to attend a short training course, an award and sponsored trip for the winner of Vietnam’s Next Top Model 2011 and will get back to Vietnam on March 21.

After the competition, Hoang Thuy – the winner of the Vietnam’s Next Top Model 2011, has gone to Paris to participate in a 10-day training course that she won after takingthe Vietnam’s Next Top Model 2011 title. Thuy, 21, who stands 1.77 metres tall,
competed against contestants from 45 countries and territories worldwide.

A model from Italy won the first prize of the Top Model of the World. The second
and the third prizes were presented to contestants from Zimbabwe and Colombia.
The Top Model of the World contest, which aims to find the most talented catwalk models, was launched in 1993 in Miami, in the US, by the Globana Group.
