Paris By Night 105 (A Detailed Review)

Thuynga Online - STAGING: The background is the usual big black screen with lights (just PBN like 98, 104) and the main “structure” throughout the show is this big LIGHTED roller coaster/ DNA strand that loops around the entire stage. (YOU WILL LOVE IT) and lighted vertical lines are placed on the floor throughout the stage and where NNN & KD normally stand. Throughout the show the rollercoaster contraption is moved around creating a new stage each time (like PBN 104).

The theatre itself was beautifully lit. I would have to say this PBN stage much resembles PBN 98, it is pretty grand and way bigger than Knotts. The lighting was ridiculous; the leds were used to their full potential, hard to explain. Very Fresh.

1. Nguoi Tinh Tram Nam – 12 singers are dressed in different shades of red each one is unique, very similar to PBN 62’s opening. The dancers are dressed in outfits similar to TT’s Guc Nga’s number and the singers enter though the large loop within the roller coaster. They are split up in 3 groups of 4. And they all come together at the end to sing the last few lines. Everyone’s blood was running b/c of the suspense of which singer would come out next…. I’m not going to ruin for you guys b/c I want you guys to have that same feeling in your stomach! Hint: majority of the singers are “tre”. ^^

2. Hat Cho Nguoi Ky Nu - Khang Viet
I fell in love with his PBN 104 performance and might I say I can see him with Thuy Nga for a long time. His voice was flawless and this was a good number. And he’s so handsome….

3. Mot Mai Gia Tu Vu Khi - Khanh Lam
Songs were good, not sure about him. I don’t like his voice. Sorry :/

4. Tinh Khuc Buon - Tran Thai Hoa
LOVELOVELOVELOVELOVE another stellar performance by TTH!!

5. Da Khuc Cho Tinh Nhan – Thu Phuong
Her outfit was beautiful, can’t believe she just had a baby! Her voice was captivating. The audience loved her performance!

6. Khi Nguoi Yeu Lua Doi – Anh Minh (Dance)
OMG! OMG! OMG! This number left me freaking speechless. You will see this HUGE spider web made from thick white rope and a male dancer holding Anh Minh at the top of the web. Then the string lowers them both down and the song starts. The dancers are in black and orange (very Halloweeny) and AM is in this short light silvery/nudish outfit with tons of sparkles. The song is SO catchy, a typical AM number. Fans might have a hard time deciding between this number or her PBN 104 performance. Towards the end of the song the dancer lifts her up by one leg, she is upside down & the string spins them around in midair. THE CROWD GOES NUTS. This song will be in everyone’s Top 5. And I got a chance to talk to her and ask her about her life. I asked if she missed working with Asia? she couldn’t give me a clear answer but she hinted to me PBN was the obvious better choice. Gosh she’s such a sweetie in person.

7. Minh Oi – Ngoc Ha
This song is very enjoyable and her voice is so soothing. Once again the rollercoaster loops are re-arranged and the same video screen from PBN 104 is used.

8. Gian Em - Duy Truong
He is in a tan suit and he looks cute as a button. The song is enjoyable.

9. Gian Anh – Diem Suong (Dance)
DS is in a short dress with a pick feather skirt (I think) & the stage stays the same but it is very colorful. Richard Le (winner of dancing dream) will be dancing with same girl from the 104 VIP PARTY. The song is catchy and upbeat. You can look up the cover by Phuong Vy on Youtube. A different side to Diem Suong, I loved it.

10. Thuong Lam Minh Oi - Nhu Quynh (Dance, kinda)
WOW! Nhu Quynh does it again with this new song. It was like Mo Anh Trang Ve part 2 hehe. The staging is very good! She looks older in this btw.

11. Trinh Lam
Sorry I don’t remember much at all. I just know I liked it, if that makes sense haha.

12. Nguoi Tinh Khong Đen - Ha Vy
Very good. The audience really liked her song!

13. Nhung Loi Me Hoac – Lam Anh
The stage is split into 2 parts, one side yellow & the other side blue. On Lam Anh’s side she is on a red sofa with a table & a phone which she uses to sing out of, it creates the illusion that that she is really on the phone. The other side we see a Vietnamese guy (I think KD’s bf) in a telephone booth on the phone & he also sings in Viet. The song was hot & sultry, her voice fitted perfectly. You guys can check out Minh Tuyet & Tran Thai Hoa's version, both are really good! Her dress was purple and had a very big slit & she had a lot of leg shots throughout the song. With performances like these Lam Anh is surely making a name for herself. I had some time to talk to her about her career and how she’s very thankful to us fans ^^

14. Huong Tinh Gai Que – Huong Thuy (Dance)
An outstanding number!! The intro with the dancers was really cool. It is like Ha Phuong’s number in PBN 99. She’s so just so cute.

15. Hai Kịch: Hoai Tam, Bang Kieu, Thuy Nga, Viet Huong
This had very funny story layout and it flowed well!

16. Ngo Lo - Mai Tien Dung (Dance)
This number took awhile for me to sink in. But the dancing was on point!! It is very similar to his “Say Nang” performance in Dancing Dream but way edgier. The females dancers and they are dancing with black feathered fans. His outfit was hot too :P
Hope fans will like this side of him.

17. Chang – Quynh Vi
The screen is brought out again and is showing pictures of her. Her hair was straight & she is wearing a white (not sure) dress with a LONGGGGG purple train. The song fit her like a glove.

18. Nguoi Tinh- Mai Thien Van
Just another MTV song, she never fails to disappoint. This time we see a curtain of shiny blue strings just like in the one used in for the opening in 73. The audience went crazy once again.

19. Cho Anh Ngay Moi - Toc Tien (Dance)
Again, another great dance number. Super fast, catchy and she had some English phrases in there too. This song resembled Guc Nga in many ways. She is wearing a lime green dress and her hair is gorgeous. She looks exactly like Kpop’s Hyuna.. so pretty! There are 3 (or 4) different colored microphone stands (totally be-dazzled in jewels) that she used to sing out of them. The stage lighting is crazy, so much going on. You guys will be so surprised! And she posted a picture on her fanpage on FB, it shows part of her dress and her hair/makeup for the show.

20. Xin Em Nụ Cuoi - Luong Tung Quang
A nice tre-ish ballard song.

21. Nu Hong Valentine - Ngoc Anh
She gave a very solid performance! During halfway through her performance red petals started falling… amazing.

22. Don Ho (Dance, kinda)
WAHH!! Now we see a moon on the left side of the stage and a dancer in a white ao dai hanging in the center. It was pretty much the same concept as Nguyen Hung’s number in 100 but the movements were different and cleaner. And there is a rock on the ground for some reason?!?!? The audience was impressed by the dancers movements, it was super cool.

23. Time to Say Goodbye - Tuan Ngoc & Khanh Ha
At first I was like seriously -___-, but it turned out to be a jaw dropping performance. All the white people who worked for the theatre were like WOW, hahaha. They re-used the crystal curtain with a big circle in it (PBN 98 – Ending number) but cut it was cut shorter. So pretty!

24. Nguoi Tinh Johnny - Nhu Loan (Dance): There is now was white stair case different from the one we’ve seen before. And NL is wearing a purple-ish dress (I think) with a sheer collared shirt tied at her waist. It was a very good song!! And if you hear anyone screaming crazily NHU LOAN NHU LOAN I LOVE YOU, it was me! Hehehe. And I want to say that she is the SWEETEST PERSON EVER! She acted like a sister to me and she’s just always so lovable. And she has a great memory! I love her so much.

Ky Phuong Uyen with another song (Dance): She was very sexy and her dance skills are ridiculous. Her outfit is a bright orange tango-esque dress and her midriff is exposed. Great mix of songs!

25. Ngo Mot Lan Em Quay Ve- Minh Tuyet & Bang Kieu
MT is sitting on a bench next to a lamppost and there are 2 black gates on both sides of the stage. Brown dead trees are placed everywhere, it was really gorgeous! The song is more like their Di Vang performance. If you are interested in her outfit add me on FB or go on her fanpage, she re-uploaded the pics I tagged her in.

26. Tình Ho- The Son
All I remember is he’s wearing a bright yellow blazer.

27. Yeu La Chet O Trong Long- Thanh Ha
This might be one of my favorite performances by her. You will the crystals that form “columns” (the one used in MTV & QL’s number in 98) but it is cut shorter in width.
And it was her birthday on Sunday’s show, shout out to her!

28. Tạm Biet Tinh Yeu- Nguyen Hung & Luu Bich (Dance)
Finally the finale. Great to see this couple duet again!! NH enters from the white steps/stair case which was placed on the left & LB leaned against a white table on the right. I’m not going to ruin all the details of this number but it was a good way to end such a grand show!


Overall there were no bad songs, each song deserves a listen. I was so surprised by the audience’s energy b/c they all applauded so loud and gave great standing ovations! and screw the people that work at Foxwoods, they tried telling me that bringing signs and posters were not allowed during this show SEVERAL TIMES. What BS! Let's just say I was a trouble maker on Sunday's show....
